It's a story of heritage, innovation, and the enduring spirit of craftsmanship

Roddy Romaric Battajon

Belami embodies a narrative rich in creativity, passion, conviction, and revolution, with its genesis rooted in the vision of its founder, Roddy Romaric Battajon. His passion for rum truly ignited, as he absorbed the essence of his grandmother's distillation techniques and family dedication for the terroir.

With a profound connection to his roots and armed with generations-old recipes, Roddy set out to redefine the rum landscape. Thus, Rhum Belami emerged—a fusion of tradition and innovation, a testament to Roddy's unwavering commitment to craft. Today, Rhum Belami stands as a symbol of excellence, a journey that began with Roddy's ancestral whispers and continues to inspire enthusiasts worldwide.

Juyee Cheng Battajon

In 2016, Roddy & Juyee launched Belami in Vietnam, marking the onset of a revolution in craft spirits. At that time, they were essentially leading a revolution in craft spirits. They utilized locally sourced black sugarcane from a single region, combined with French artisanal techniques, thus forging a spirit that broke the traditional mold of the industry. They swiftly clinched the top honors at the Top Rum World Spirits Awards held in France from 2019 to 2020. Currently, their products are exported to France, Italy, Taiwan, and have even made an appearance in the Mexican market.

The uniqueness of Belami parts in Roddy's infusion of local agricultural crops and aromatic spices into oak barrels, which imparts a distinctive aroma to the rum. This sets Belami apart from traditional rums, giving it Vietnamese flavors, including the fragrance of sugarcane, as well as rich fruity and unique spice aromas such as grilled pineapple, turmeric, cinnamon, and Phu Quoc pepper.
